We have been working with M.P.I. Insurance Brokers - Specialists in Travel and Ski Insurance - for over 10 years. They and their suppliers have always handled claims quickly but most importantly they cannot be faulted for the handling of medical issues that have arisen in resort.

All medical expenses are dealt with by our Ski Course Manager in resort. Our Ski Course Managers have access to cash to pay the local doctors and therefore you and your credit card will not be required in settling medical expenses for your children, which is a real weight off your shoulders and your bank account.
There are no medical excesses on our policy so you do not become involved any post-trip chasing of payments from parents for an injury to their child in resort

M.P.I. do insist that the parent of any child that has a existing medical condition must contact M.P.I. immediately after booking to ensure that their child will be eligible for cover by insurers.

It is the responsibility of the individual traveller (not a member of school staff), where they think that they might have an existing medical condition that might not be covered, to telephone M.P.I. (Michael Pettifer Insurance) on 0845 180 0062.

European Health Insurance Card (E.H.I.C.)

It is a requirement of the insurers that each person on the school ski holiday has an E.H.I.C. Card. Switzerland has a reciprocal agreement with the U.K. with regard to medical costs, so you maybe required to produce an E.H.I.C. Card at a doctors or at a hospital in Switzerland. Insurers will definitely require your E.H.I.C. number in the event that they have to pay for a claim on behalf of one of the school ski group.
