The village of Fiesch is situated in southern Switzerland in the upper Rhone valley. In the old part of the village you can still see the typical weathered houses of the Canton (County) of Valais.
Ski Accommodation Situated in Town
School skiing groups are accommodated at a purpose built sports centre nestling in a forested area on the edge of the small village of Fiesch.
Walk to Ski Lifts only 15 Mins
School ski groups start the day by walking on a path from the sports centre through the village to the cable car.
Highly Professional Equipment for School Ski Groups
The superb shop in Fiesch provides excellent equipment for school ski groups and an added bonus is that they have a shop adjacent to the beginners slope on the mountain for any necessary adjustments.
Hot Lunch in a Mountain Restaurant
Also by the beginners lift is a restaurant owned by the sports centre, where hot lunches are provided every day for school skiing groups.
All-Day ski instruction with Experienced British Instructors
School ski trips have been accompanied by our British ski instructors for over 30 years, so it is a resort that our ski staff know very well.
Skiing for Schools with Beginner Runs Above 2100m and Superb Progression
School ski groups enjoy a superb beginners run immediately at the top of the cable car. Its height at 2100m guarantees great snow throughout the season. A 6 man chair then takes progressing beginners to 2700m and several excellent training runs back down to the cable car.
Skiing on Over 99kms of Piste
The Aletsch Glacier at 23kms in length (the longest in Europe and a U.N.E.S.C.O. World Heritage Site) runs behind the pistes. Its influence guarantees snow from mid-December to mid-April. The three resorts of Fiescheralp, Bettmeralp and Reideralp provide nearly 100kms of piste. Great for school skiing!
Skiing on Wide Unpopulated Pistes with Very Few Lift Queues
The runs are really wide here and school skiing groups can learn to ski in the comfort of wide open pistes. Fiesch is a little known gem of a resort and less frequented by day-trippers than its neighbours of Saas Fee and Zermatt, which means that the lift queues are always really small, increasing the time on snow for school ski students.
Free of Charge Evening Activities for School Ski Groups
School ski groups will have their own exclusive lounge. A table tennis table can be installed free of charge for the week and a DVD at a nominal cost. There is also free swimming and a free sports hall on site to be enjoyed by all the students on the school ski trip.
